During this 3 quarter alone Finot has accomplished great heights in community service.

REC Project

Rec project, which is Book Reading and Recording project for visually impaired students by collaborating with Ethiopian National association of the blind. We have partially contacted the students. However, volunteers are still required to read the new textbooks.

Melu'e Foundation

Melu’e is helping children living with autism and other special needs issues and their parents or guardians. The foundation has a firm objective to integrate people with special needs and society. We have reached the neighborhood that frequents the Melu’e library and the children who study there. We've also talked with the founder and the teacher about the upcoming community service projects they want us to take on.

Joy Autism Center

Participating in Joy Autism Center’s graduating volunteer program. We have supported the organizing team and parent’s.

Basic Gardening Training

Basic gardening training to March 8 School partnering up with Green Rotaract Concept and Rotary Fellowship of Urban Gardening. We managed to modify the spaces while teaching them how to do it for the next time and provide them with some seeds for the future. Our trainer, Yared Tesema, is a dedicated environmentalist who has actively worked on various projects aimed at preserving our planet. He also served as GRC Ethiopia Chair.

BREAST CANCER AWARNESS MONTH

In honor of the month, we wore pink ribbons during our meetings and coffee times. We also created a social media campaign. And visited the Alemfre Pinkhouse Foundation to talk about fundraising efforts. We intend to plan an event and assist them in obtaining sponsors, as well as take part in a panel discussion that will take place in November.

MEMBERSHIP RETENTION AND FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS

MRED TRAININGS

We had an insightful new member orientation. It was given both online and in person. The purpose of this training was to give basic information about Rotaract in general as well as the Rotaract Club of Finot.

ልጅነቴ FELLOWSHIP

ልጅነቴ fellowship, which is an annual fundraising event that takes place on March 8 at school, comprises different games that remind us of our childhood.

NEW YEAR'S EVE FELLOWSHIP

New years party were together for a truly enchanting and joyous New Year's Eve and Christmas celebration!

COFFEE TIME

Our coffee times, which take place at Bole mini every Wednesday at 5:30pm/11:30 LT, have grown tremendously throughout this quarter, and we have gained new members.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

FINOT TALK

Finot Talk is one of RAC Finot signature PD project where members share their experience about Rotract or other aspect of their life.

TEACH US YOUR TALENT

In this PD session we invite our talented guests to tell us about their talent and teach us. During this quarter we have learnt the basic concepts and skills of drawing and poetry.

Book Review

During this quarter we have read and reviewed these four books. It was a very productive and mind opening experience.

INTERACT CLUB OF CRUISE SCHOOL

This year we have made our Interact Club active again. and have done few projects so far.

PD PROJECTS

We have started by experience sharing with past interactors who are now rotractors. Our next project was career fair where different career inspirations shared their journeys with them.
